The Arkansas football program as scheduled a home-and-home football non-conference series against TCU starting in 2016.
The Razorbacks will travel to Fort Worth in 2016 and the Horned Frogs will travel to Fayetteville in 2017. This series was most recently set to be played in 2014, but was pushed back.
This series was originally scheduled to be played in 2008 and 2009 but was pushed back because a series against Texas was scheduled for the same time. Arkansas played Texas in 2008 but Texas never came to Fayetteville in 2009 because Arkansas had scheduled a long-term series with Texas A&M.
These two teams haven't met since both were members in the Southwest Conference in 1991. The game was played in Fort Worth and Arkansas took the victory, 22-21.
This series against TCU would give Arkansas two opponents in the Dallas/Forth Worth area, a huge alumni and recruiting area.
Arkansas is also looking into a series with a non-conference, two year series with Texas Tech, starting next year. Arkansas has also scheduled a home-and-home series against Michigan in 2018 and 2019. Texas will also play in Fayetteville 2021, to make up for the game postponed four years ago.
